Spiders are found worldwide and can be seen in different sizes, shapes, and colors. There are individuals who pray at bars; others even eat veggies, but that’s not the subject now. Here are the three strangest-looking and acting spiders in the world.
Long Horned Orb Weaver
The long-horned orb weaver, also known as Macracantha, is a genus of Asian orb-weaver spiders found in regions from India and China all the way to Indonesia. They are famous because the female individuals have long, elongated horns on their abdomens that are three times longer than the abdomen itself. They can vary in color from yellow and red to white and even black. Because they are orb spiders, they build large orb webs and wait for prey to trap itself in them.
Mirror Spider
They are found in Australia and are actually several different species of the genus Thwaitesia. They are called mirror spiders because they have mirror-looking scales on their abdomen, but they aren’t actually mirrors and can even change size depending on how threatened the spider feels. The patches are made of a chemical compound that they use to give themselves color.

Diving bell spider
The diving bell spider, also known as the water spider, is the only known species of spider to live almost entirely underwater. They surface occasionally to get oxygen and, from time to time, bring prey to the surface, but that’s it. They are found in mainland Europe, northern Asia (Siberia), and southern Asia (to Iran). They are also encountered in Japan and in South Korea, where they have an entire protected area because they are endangered there. As any other spider, they breathe air, but unlike others, they trap an air bubble around their abdomen and legs, making them look silvery.
